A sad, sad thought brought on by Al Roker and The Today Show yesterday morning. Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino was on to promote his upcoming movie The Lazarus Effect, nonetheless his musical career was a topic of discussion. Glover admitted that it may soon be time to say goodbye to the moniker Childish Gambino.

Pigeons & Planes reports Glover stating, “Childish Gambino is like a period of my art time” and that he wants to have multiple periods within his life. “I feel like Childish Gambino is a period that should come to a close,” Glover said. “I like endings.” It’s not clear whether or not this is the end of his musical career, but it seems pretty inevitable we will see Gambino fade very soon. 🙁
