So I don’t know if I woke up on the right side of the bed or if the universe was in my favor today, but I stumbled upon something that I had to share as such an avid fan of both of these bands. Portugal. The Man and Alt-J are hands-down in our realm of top artists today. So when we stumble upon these 2 bands working with each others music we get really excited. Thom Green, Alt-J’s drummer, decided to get a little weird and make an obscure, wobbly remix of Portugal. The Man’s “Modern Jesus“. The lack of structure and melody that Thom displayed in this remix are perfect for the psychedelic tendencies of Portugal. It’s always awesome to see such talented artists respecting each other enough to to tamper with each others music and do awesome things with it. The video also showcases the lead man of Porgual. The Man, John Gourley, doodling his iconic self-portrait sketches of the English quartet that took the world by storm with their debut album, An Awesome Wave. I could go on for days about these 2, but it’s time for you to click the little arrow above and watch this obscure remix.
