09 Mar Super-Fast News Recap of the week
These days there is a huge influx of news stories ravaging the internet. With that comes the ever-so-present possibility of an important news story getting lost in all the bullshit. Then, if you don’t know about what’s going on in the world, some people may tell you to go lick the windows on the short bus. We don’t want people telling you that, so we at Brightside will be giving you a Super-Fast News Recap of the Week every Sunday.
This week we’ll tell you all about the Lightning in a Bottle Lineup release, Phoenix’s Tour dates, Game of Thrones’ new mixtape, who got featured on Mobb Deep’s “The Infamous Mobb Deep,” who Chipotle is suing, and what could be the raddest multi-genre collaboration we’ve seen.

Lightning In A Bottle really stepped their game up this year. If you have yet to see the lineup, please come back and join the rest of us in the real world. Then leave the real world and hit up Lightning In A Bottle with us on Memorial Day weekend.
Phoenix announce tour dates and share Ariel Pink’s remix of “SOS In Bel Air.”
The Frenchies are touring the world in support of their most recent album Bankrupt! and are making stops at many festivals along the way (Bonnaroo whaddup!). Oh, and they dropped Ariel Pink’s remix of “SOS In Bel Air.” Worth the listen.
Game of Thrones released a hip-hop mixtape called “Catch The Throne.”
Is it gonna be good? Word on the street is “Catch the Throne” is going to send the featured artists Common, Wale, Big Boi, Daddy Yankee, and Bodega Bamz straight to the guillotine on behalf of King Joffrey.
Kaytranada featured on Mobb Deep’s “The Infamous Mobb Deep.”
Mobb Deep announced the tracklist for their upcoming double-disc album The Infamous Mobb Deep. Kaytranada, a Brightside favorite, caught our eye as a contributing producer.
Chipotle is suing Frank Ocean for backing out of a $425,000 deal to sing a remake of “Pure Imagination” for an animated Chipotle ad. Plus, the dirty burrito creators have not mentioned anything about making the guacamole a reasonable price.
Yes, these artists are all over the music spectrum. That’s the entire point. We have a feeling this is going to be a collaboration for the books, so stay tuned for it’s release on Monday.
